Antiracist work

During the summer of 2017, the Heinemann Fellows hosted a day on antiracist work. The event was led by Heinemann authors Sonja Cherry-Paul, Cornelius Minor, and Sara Ahmed. Each author led us through a series of exercises to confront our whiteness and the systems that enable white supremacy to exist, in addition to examining systemic racism.

Afterwords, while both checking our learning for the day and reviewing our takeaways and steps forward, we decided to record a podcast to reflect to a more broad audience on the issues of racism in education.
